The essentials, minus the fluff

Spent ten nights in a clean and comfortable room with friendly staff, even with my limited Chinese. The breakfast spread was varied and delicious, and the spa was a delightful addition. Plus, I appreciated the hotel's eco-friendly initiatives. A perfect base for exploring further!

This place was just a prime choice for a fleeting stay in Shanghai with great value for the money. They even charged us for a bottle of water at a wedding, showing how cheap they can be. Just be ready to share whatever desserts you get without any extra plates or utensils.

The location was fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the Jing An Temple station. However, the air conditioning didn’t function properly, leading to discomfort during my stay.

during my 15 nights at equatorial, the staff were incredibly friendly and spoke great english. the hotel is centrally located, just a short distance from jing'an temple and the french concession area. i loved the spa services—they were a perfect way to unwind after a busy day.

Had a great experience at this hotel! I really enjoyed the indoor pool and the relaxing spa services they offered. The only downside was that some areas felt a bit outdated, but it didn't take away from my overall stay. 😊

Great location and comfortable stay

I had a pleasant two-night stay with a beautiful view from my room on a high floor. The breakfast offered a delightful mix of both local and international dishes, and the staff was generally friendly. I particularly appreciated the hotel's central location, making it easy to access the major attractions. However, the check-in process was a bit slow, which could be improved.

Great stay with a fab view!

I stayed for 2 nights with my group and it was pretty cool. The staff were super helpful, like when they called a taxi for me. Also, the room on the 25th floor had an amazing view! The food at the bar was tasty, but sometimes it took a bit to get service. All in all, a solid place.

The Equatorial offered a comfortable room with a superb bed, providing an excellent environment to work and rest. The breakfast was outstanding, featuring a variety of freshly prepared dishes and a selection of fresh juices. The location was convenient, adjacent to shopping malls and with easy access to the Jing’an Temple metro station, making travel around the city straightforward.

Loved the location near Jing’an Temple and shopping malls. The fitness center was nice for a quick workout, and the swimming pool was a lovely spot to unwind after a busy day. Taking a stroll in beautiful Jing An Park was also a highlight of my stay.

My stay was marred by rude staff interactions at the executive lounge. As an APEC card holder, I expected better service and respect during our stay.
